The School of Aerospace Engineering at the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is proud to have hosted the Aerospace Engineering Study Program from January 15th to 24th, 2024. This program, officially opened by our Dean, Prof. Dr. Farzad Ismail, welcomed a group of 26 undergraduate and postgraduate students from Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), China, and the delegate of NPU, Dr. Zhang Chun. The program was an integral part of the Advanced Aeronautical Technology and Aerial Robotics research project, coordinated by Dr. Zhou Ye, Dr. Ho Hann Woei, and Prof. Dr. Farzad Ismail.

The Aerospace Engineering Study Program at USM offered an exciting and enriching experience for all participants. Comprising a series of lectures on advanced aeronautical technology and aerial robotics, this initiative was curated to provide invaluable insights and knowledge in this cutting-edge field of study. Esteemed faculty members, including Prof. Dr. Farzad Ismail, Assoc. Prof. Dr Ahmad Zulfaa Mohamed Kassim, Dr Nurul Musfirah Mazlan, Dr Mohd Shukur Zainol Abidin, Dr. Ho Hann Woei, Dr. Zhou Ye, and Dr. Chang Wei Shyang, led these lectures and workshops to ensure that participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the latest advancements in the domain.

The program has been meticulously designed to offer an immersive and rewarding learning experience for all participants. From hands-on activities to interactive sessions with our lecturers, every aspect of the program aimed to leave a lasting impact on the students. We believe that this opportunity will not only enrich their academic journey but also contribute to their personal and professional growth.

Beyond academic pursuits, the program aimed to foster cultural exchange and friendship between Northwestern Polytechnical University and Universiti Sains Malaysia. Participants engaged with their peers and our lecturers from diverse backgrounds, which created opportunities for cross-cultural understanding and collaboration.

As USM takes pride in having hosted the Aerospace Engineering Study Program, we extend a warm welcome to the students and faculty from Northwestern Polytechnical University. Our sincere thanks go to our dean for inaugurating this program and to Dr. Zhang for guiding the students and sharing expertise. We are confident that their participation will not only contribute to the success of the program but also strengthen the ties between our institutions. May this initiative serve as a beacon of collaboration, knowledge exchange, and friendship in the field of aerospace engineering.
